Enjoy the light, airy, restful character of a passive house.

Try to hear the mechanical ventilation heat recovery system in your bedroom; we don’t think you will.

And don’t just come to experience the Passivhaus difference: enjoy a break in the stunning Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where there is plenty to see and do, and some brilliant places for walking; or just relax and soak up the peacefulness.

We’ll be pleased to spend time with you to answer your questions, and to share why we chose to build a passive house, and what we did to find a plot, get planning permission for ‘something just a little special’, have a brilliant experience with our builder, and come in on-time and on-budget.

We can also tell you how we’ve found living in a Passivhaus: its incredible thermal comfort throughout, whatever the weather; the peacefulness; and its remarkable way of combining an open, airy feeling with one of snugness. Oh! And how cheap it is to keep both warm in winter and cool in summer…

Whether you want to build a traditional or modern type of house, or one that combines both styles, staying at Woodlands will help you to decide if Passivhaus is for you.

We chose an oak-frame because we love the feel of oak, its high ceilings, its timelessness, and the way the frame draws your eye to it from every aspect. But you can build a Passivhaus in almost any style.

Feel free to ask us about the heating system; how we decided on fixtures and fittings; how we successfully shared project management with our builder, and many other things you may want to know.

And you may find out the main problem of Passivhaus living: you won’t know what to wear unless you stick your nose out of the door because it’s so comfortable inside!
